Summer housing is for Tulane students taking classes or completing internships in New Orleans during the summer. If you are not a current Tulane student, please visit our Summer Conferences page for information about short-term accommodations.
Summer housing students will be housed in Weatherhead and Butler Halls. Students will not be permitted to live in other housing areas during the summer. Please note that the majority of rooms available for summer housing are double occupancy rooms.
Summer 2020 housing room rates for May 10, 2020 through August 22, 2020:
Students that are not staying the duration of the summer will be charged the daily rate of $40/single and $34/double per night for nights the students and/or their belongings are occupying the space.
Students will be billed for the number of nights they stay and a minimum of 14 consecutive days is required.
Students will need to list their housing needs from May 10, 2020 to August 22, 2020 within the application.
Please note that students not currently residing on campus will not be able to move in until May 21, 2020. Students currently in their Spring 2020 space will remain there until the May 21 or 22, 2020 move day.
Students with a Fall 2020 housing assignment will move to their fall space on August 6 and 7, 2020. Students not continuing in housing for Fall 2020 must move out by August 7, 2020.
Students moving from one semester to another MUST be available to move during the designated move window (May 21 or 22 spring to summer assignment, August 6 or 7 summer to fall assignment). Otherwise they will need to remove their belongings from the space they are exiting prior to the move window.
Students who are ONLY taking a Maymester course will be permitted to stay in their Spring 2020 room until Sunday May 24th at Noon. They will need to complete a summer housing application.
