All students who live on campus must submit a Housing Application and sign a Housing Agreement. Log onto your Housing Portal to access your application.

FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

Newly admitted students can begin applying for Fall housing in early March of each year. Students must complete their Housing Application and sign their Housing Agreement by early May. Students are invited in early-June to log back into the Housing Portal and select a roommate during our roommate matching period, if they wish. Students are then sent their housing assignments in mid-July. More information is provided to newly admitted first-year students following the application open date and their housing deposit has been submitted. For the 2024-2025 Academic Year, newly admitted first-year students may apply for housing starting March 1st and must apply no later than May 8th.

Applications for Spring housing open in late October or early November. Students who apply for Spring housing prior to November 15th will receive their assignments in early December. Students that apply after December 10th will not be assigned until the university reopens in January.

Assignments - First-year students are assigned housing based on the availability of each space.

Residential Learning Communities - Tulane Residential Learning Communities (RLCs) are immersive spaces in a residence hall where students live together to learn about and participate in activities centered around a theme. There are 8 RLCs to choose from for the 2024-2025 Academic Year! There is a separate application process, in addition to the Housing Application, that students must complete if they are interested in one or many RLCs. The RLC application opens on March 1st and closes May 8th. Learn more about RLCs.

Gender Affirming Housing (GAH) - If you would like to be assigned to Gender Affirming Housing, you must indicate that on your housing application. Not sure? Learn more about Gender Affirming Housing.
