What is your favorite HRL memory or tradition?
“My favorite HRL tradition is the HRL End of Year Banquet because I love the fact that we celebrate our staff and recognize their hard work in a big way that shows them that we value them.”
- Jamaya Magee, Project Assistant
“My favorite HRL experience is always Move-In. It's time when our whole department gets to come together and fulfill a common goal. I love seeing how the operations of everything works, connecting with students and their families, connecting with campus partners who are volunteering with us, and seeing our student staff members go above and beyond in their work to make the experience a good one for all those moving in. I also love supporting our team in various ways on those days -- making PJs runs to energize my RA staff and our greeter tent, moving furniture with our facilities team, managing student support in both residence halls, and ensuring parents that their students will be well taken care of when they leave. I genuinely love to see the collaboration and impact the work we do makes during this time!"
- Shannon Relevant, Resident Director
“My favorite HRL tradition is our annual Dip Day competition during the summer. It is a fun way to showcase our favorite dips and spend time with those from other areas within our department!”
- Whitney Melancon, Assistant Director for Residence Life
