Housing and Residence Life offers a number of housing options to accommodate the varying needs of our student populations. Our communities range from the historic elegance of Josephine Louise Hall to the award-winning innovative design of Weatherhead Hall. We have a demonstration kitchen in Greenbaum Hall to showcase New Orleans cuisine as well as a living library in Wall Residence Hall to encourage academic engagement. No matter what you are looking for, there is a space and a place here for you.
Through our academic initiatives, HRL offers students the opportunity to merge their living and learning spaces for a unique on-campus experience. Tulane Residential Learning Communities are immersive, collaborative living spaces that encourage students to exchange, challenge, question, and grow—both academically and socially. In addition to interacting with faculty members in the classroom, residents have the opportunity to continue their learning with faculty members who are partnered with or live in the residence halls. By bringing faculty and students together in meaningful ways, residents are empowered to form academic and social support networks.
Housing and Residence Life is committed to working with all students to meet their housing needs in an environment that values diversity and promotes the dignity of all people. Gender-Inclusive Housing (GIH) allows undergraduate students of any gender the option of living with other students regardless of their gender.
