Irby Hall was named for William Ratcliffe Irby, a New Orleans businessman and President of the Board of Administrators, was instrumental in establishing Tulane's central purchasing system.
Irby Hall is located on Bruff Quad and is comprised of four-room suites with a shared bathroom. Most suites have eight bed spaces and the hall is co-ed by suite. All rooms are double occupancy with large picture windows. Exterior corridors wrap around the building on all sides and promote resident interaction. Irby Hall is home primarily to second-year and transfer students. The Paterson desk is open 24/7 to assist Irby residents with key/access issues, security concerns, or additional questions.
