Summer School Housing

Opens Sunday, May 18, 2008 / Closes Sunday, August 10, 2008.

Updated: March 19, 2008

Information About Assignments Availability: At this time we remain very close to 100% occupancy and are unable to expedite a housing assignment without ample notification.  Please understand that if you submit an application with an immediate move-in date, that we may not be able to fulfill that request.  Please provide ample notification of your request by submitting your application early.  We anticipate remaining at or near 100% occupancy through the remainder of the summer.

Information About Room Changes:  We are unable to accept or process room change requests during the summer session due to the high volume of turnovers as well as the high demand for campus housing this summer.  Roommate conflicts or roommate/suitemate issues need to be mediated by the implementation of a Roommate Contract or by contacting a member of the Residence Life staff at Willow Residences.

Summer Housing is available for single undergraduate and graduate students studying or working with any of Tulane's colleges or departments during the summer session.  Availability is limited and priority will be given to undergraduate Tulane University students.  Unfortunately, we do not have facilities available for married students or students with partners/spouses and/or children.  Families interested in year-round housing, should visit the Papillon webpage.

Summer Housing In Mayer Residences

Recently converted to become home to the T2 program, Mayer Residences is the 3rd newest complex on-campus.   All buildings in Mayer are air conditioned and smoke free. (Smoking is not allowed in any residence hall or building on campus.)  Each room is equipped with one bed per resident, one desk and chair per resident, and one sink. All rooms are "suite style" featuring a restroom shared with the adjoining room.

We do not provide the following amenities:  linens, toiletries, and electronic items such as phones, alarm clocks, and televisions.   You must to provide your own personal linens and toiletries including towels, blankets, sheets, pillows, etc.

Mayer features small clusters of rooms and each floor has access to a kitchen, social lounge, study room, and laundry room.   There are vending machines located in several areas of the facility. We do not provide kitchen utensils or cooking equipment to each individual; however, you may be able to check items out at the front desk.  Please inquire upon arrival for details and availability.

Facilities

Due to time constraints and the University's need to prepare Mayer Residences for fall residents, we reserve the right to enter rooms for health-, safety-, and facilities-related needs during the summer months.  This policy is part of the summer housing contract and you should be aware of this ahead of time. When possible, notice will be given prior to work being performed in a room or suite; we cannot guarantee notice will be available due to the ongoing workforce- and resource-related issues following Hurricane Katrina.

During the summer, Facilities Services will inspect the rooms of all summer school residents living in Mayer.
