Living
on campus is an excellent experience that, at times, presents some
challenges: learning to share a room or apartment; understanding
and complying with Community Living Standards, and establishing
a new network of friends. We are here to assist you in each of
these endeavors. A professional staff member (an Area Director or Residential College Director)
who has the education and experiences necessary to help you make
the most of your experience manages each residential area. In addition to these professional
staff members, there are a large number of student staff members: Assistant
Resident Directors, Resident Advisors, and Desk Service Coordinators.
Each of these student staff members is a returning student who has
exhibited good leadership skills and has an interest in helping
to maximize your community living experience. Key among these
student staff members is your Resident Advisor (RA). Your
RA lives on your floor/wing and serves as your primary campus and
community resource person from Housing and Residence Life.
