Housing Selection

Housing assignments are based on a student’s class standing (by year, not academic credits) and University Housing priorities. These factors provide each class a first priority for a particular type of accommodation or residence hall and are designed to maximize housing occupancy. 

Current undergraduates apply for housing during the spring semester (for the following academic year) and participate in an online room selection process.

New, first-year students as well as transfer students apply for housing through the Office of Admissions, and are assigned housing based on roommate preferences and hall preferences.
