Safety at The Papillon
While Tulane University provides trained officers to protect students while on campus, you as a resident of Papillon are responsible for your security and safety, as well as that of your family and personal property will living in the Papillon. We strongly encourage residents to obtain personal property insurance.
Papillon staff is there to help with your safety and security by:
• Courtesy Officers – 2 – 3 officers from 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM – 7 days a week. Extra officers during the holidays. The Courtesy Officers does an hourly building-wide walk and reports any unusual situations. Courtesy Desk (504) 522-4326
• NOPD – the 2nd. District is located about 8 blocks from the building.
The following are tips and suggestions to keep in mind at all times:
• If your keys are lost or stolen, report to the Management staff immediately.
• Report all suspicious person(s) to the Management staff or the Courtesy Officer immediately.
• Do not open the building’s door to strangers.
• Do not open your apartment door to strangers - - use your peep hole.
• Report broken door locks and malfunctioning parking garage gates, immediately
