Emergency Information and Preparation
Being Prepared Hurricanes & Tropical Storms Facilities & Utilities Personal Health & Safety Fire Bomb & Terror Threats

Being prepared for emergencies and knowing what to do is an important part of living on campus. We are happy to provide our on-campus students with an introductory overview of emergency planning. Here, you will find sections on the most important and common emergencies that students should be prepared for, as well as guides to prepare hurricane and first aid kits, ideas for keeping in touch with friends and family during a major emergency, and other helpful suggestions. Students residing on campus should review this information prior to move in each fall semester.

Please review the Tulane University Emergency webpage.  The official Emergency Operations website of Tulane University.

Recently, staff members Amy Garbacz and Marty Brantley gave a presentation to members of ACUHO-I (College Housing Officers) and APPA (College Facilities Officers) covering Emergency Preparedness Planning.  A Power Point of their program is available online here.
