Wall Residential College
Monroe Hall

Students from all disciplines can apply to become members of Tulane's new Residential College. Wall Residential College opened in fall 2005 to approximately 250 residents on the site of the old Zemurray Residence Hall.
Wall Residential College is unique among Tulane's residential facilities because in addition to housing undergraduates, it is also home to a faculty member and his or her family. This Professor in Residence will help the college residents to become more engaged in the intellectual and social activities at the University.

As a resident of this new community you will be an active participant in the Residential College and have opportunities for leadership, self governance, and intellectual engagement with a mix of faculty, staff, and students outside of the classroom.

• Limit yourself to the past two years.
Highlight your most meaningful experience by placing an asterisk (*) next to it. (and you’ll come back to this one in a later section!)
• It is not necessary to list test scores or GPA. Tell us how you shared your talents with others and how you grew personally.

Categories:

a. Hobbies/Extracurricular activities
b. Community service experience
c. Leadership experience
d. Past jobs/Work Experience
e. Awards or special recognition
f. Anything else

Part 2 | Tell us about who you are

So that we can find out who are you, we would like you to answer the following question anyway you choose—you can write an essay, short answer, poem, take a photograph, compose a song, create a video, etc. This isn’t an art competition; we just want to give everyone an opportunity to express themselves as they see fit. So be creative!

Please note: for any graphic rich media or video or audio, you must upload them to a website, blog or file sharing service OF YOUR CHOICE and, in the text of the application, simply provide a link to the appropriate website for us to view your creation! Do not send media, DVDs or email audio or video files.

Answer this question in any format you choose:

What exactly was it that made your “most meaningful experience” special?

Part 3 | Tell us more about who you are

Please answer only two (2) of the following questions. You are free to express yourself in print, video, or audio media as described above but should not submit any graphic rich media or content directly.  You are very welcome to simply answer your two questions in text format!  Any media should be uploaded to a website or blog as described below and the website should be provided as your response.

2. If you had $10.00 to plan your ideal day, what would you spend it on?
3. What is your favorite time of the day and why?
