Housing Options: Graduate Students

Graduate students and their family members are able to apply for housing at the Papillon apartments in the Lower Garden District or at Deming Pavilion downtown. Deming Pavilion is not operated by the Department of Housing and Residence Life on the uptown campus.

Papillon Apartments: Lower Garden District

The Papillon features variable move-in dates and for anyone participating in a pre-fall orientation or other program, or looking for a full-year housing option, this is the recommended housing option.  Please note, the uptown housing option shown below is based solely on the academic term calendars is only available from August 19 through May 18, 2008.  It is not available for summer housing as that operation is completely independent from the options below and is located in a separate location. Rental fees are paid monthly, directly to The Papillon staff and are not processed through Accounts Receivable.  Note: The Papillon is owned by Tulane University and professionally managed by HRI, Inc.

Deming Pavilion: Health Sciences Downtown Campus

Deming Pavilion also offers flexible lease terms and move-in dates.  Students participating in programs on the Health Sciences Center or dual programs on both campuses are welcome to and encouraged to explore this option.  Other graduate students are also welcome to apply as well. Note: Deming Pavilion is not managed by the Department of Housing and Residence Life. Rental rates are processed on a monthly basis through Accounts Receivable along with tuition and fees.

Roommates & Other Apartments

Graduate students also have the opportunity to search for roommates and off-campus apartments through RoommateClick and ApartmentSource, our web-based roommate and apartment finders.

To utilize either service, you must request a Registration Code by e-mailing housing@tulane.edu.  Please include your full name, date of birth, and the graduate program and department in which you are studying (or semester in which you will be enrolling).  Our staff will verify your status as an admitted graduate student and provide a registration code for both sites.
