The following items are not allowed in the residence halls.
• Cooking appliances (microwaves, toaster ovens, hot plates, slow cookers, woks, grills, etc. are prohibited). Only an approved MicroFridge is permitted.
• Weapons, explosives, and fireworks
• Candles and incense
• Drugs
• Illegal substances (drugs, alcohol, etc.)
• Halogen lamps
• Personal satellite dishes
• Waterbeds
• Darts and dartboards
• Non-University air conditioners, ceiling fans, and other large appliances including washers/dryers
• Space heaters
• Hookahs
• Pets, except approved fish
• Family heirlooms or valuables (DO NOT bring your grandmother’s 7-carat diamond engagement ring or your great grandfather’s Breitling watch from the late 19^th century!)
• High-end electronics (Your room really isn’t large enough for a 50” plasma television…trust us!!  And your neighbors will likely not appreciate the Bose surround sound either.)
