Monroe Hall
Monroe Hall

Monroe Hall was constructed in the mid1960s and is named for J. Blanc Monroe, a former Board of Trustee. It is a twelve story facility that offers panoramic views of the city or campus from rooms on the upper floors.

The hall is coed by wing and has both double- and single-occupancy rooms. The rooms have standard, extra long, bunkable, twin beds with moveable desks, two chests of drawers, and ample closet space. Monroe was renovated during the summer of 2004 including new exterior walls, new furniture and carpet, new HVAC systems, and keyless card access to residence hall rooms. Additional enhancements made during summer of 2005 include the replacement of the first floor exterior wall and exterior painting. Monroe is equipped with a wide range of study lounges, TV rooms, and kitchen facilities. The average size of double-occupancy rooms is 12' x 15'. Room dimensions for the singles are 6' x 15'. The windows measure 12' x 6'.
