Spring 2007 housing assignments are available! As a new transfer student, a current off-campus resident, a student returning from abroad or internship - we have room for you! Move-in date for all students is SUNDAY, January 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Simply follow these steps to obtain a housing assignment for the spring term. (Current on-campus residents need not re-apply).
Step 1 - Submit Your Application / PRIORITY DEADLINE: December 1
The Student Housing Contract is for download as a PDF file. Please download, complete and fax this contract to the Housing Office at 504-862-8944. Be sure to indicate your student type in the upper right hand corner of the application and ALWAYS include an email address and current contact phone numbers (cell and home are preferable).
Step 2 - Application Confirmation
Once we receive your application, we will notify you via -mail and include some general welcome information as well as your Housing ID# or RMS ID# for later use (see below).
Step 3 - Obtain Your Housing Assignment & Roommate
Housing assignments will not be available prior to December 13, 2006 for those who submit their application by December 1. Later applicants will receive a housing assignment as soon as possible based on date of application.
To view your housing assignment and update your emergency contact information, you must login to HousingWeb at http://housingweb.tulane.edu. Please note there are technical instructions regarding pop-up blockers that you will need to follow prior to login. You will use the RMS ID#, provided in your assignments information letter, as your login name and your social security number as your password.
Once in the system, you should complete the following three tasks:
> From the Menu (left of screen), Select Bookings
> Select Rooms for your Assignment (Note: The "Billing Type" column reflects the academic term of your assignment - Fall 2006 is 063 and Spring 2007 is 071
> Select Roommates to obtain your roommate's name and e-mail address
If you have questions regarding your assignment, please e-mail them to housing@tulane.edu and include your name, date of birth, phone number and any additional details regarding your question or concern.
Submit your Emergency Contact Information. Each student is required to submit their Emergency Contact and Personal Evacuation plans:
> From the Menu, Select PROFILE
> Select CONTACT INFORMATION
> Update the Contact Information for your “In Case Of Emergency” contact (your mom, dad, aunt, uncle!)
